Visit visa for marriage or civil partnership is usually issued for up to 6 months. The main purpose of this visa is to marry or to form a civil partnership during your stay in the UK.
In addition to the requirements set for standard visitors, marriage or civil partnership visitors must meet the following requirements:
- They must intend to give notice to register marriage or enter into a civil partnership during their stay in the UK, or
- They must marry or enter into a civil partnership during their visit, or
- They must not intend to or enter into a sham marriage or civil partnership during their visit.
